Ronald Ward Starnes

Ronald Ward Starnes, age 53 of Lithia Springs, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2026, in a local hospital.  Born on July 11, 1973, he was the son of the late Edward Ward Starnes and the late Gloria May Martin.  In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Scott Martin.

A devoted sports fan, Ronald enjoyed watching NASCAR races, wrestling, and his beloved Georgia football and Falcons football.  Poker was his card game of choice, and he enjoyed the winning.  Ronald's most coveted time was spent with his family, especially his grands who lovingly called him "Papa."  His warm friendly spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Shayla Marie Moore and Alex Ward Starnes of Lithia Springs; his precious grandchildren: Madison Moore, Gunner Moore, Ayden Moore, Brently Johnson, and Nicholas Johnson; his sister, Tammy Starnes of Douglasville; his nieces, Kadi Brooke and Naomi (Josh) Hack; and his great nieces and nephews: Ryleigh, Landon, Noah, and Kadence.

The family will host a celebration of life for Ronald on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Deerlick Park in Douglasville from Noon - 4:00 PM.

Those desiring to send flowers for the family may send to the Starnes' home in Lithia Springs.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
