Mr. Ronald Franklin McClain, age 71, of Buchanan passed away Friday, November 28, 2014.  Mr. McClain was born in Haralson County, Georgia on April 6, 1943.  He was the son of the late Cliff McClain and the late Pauline Williams McClain.  Mr. McClain was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a retired millwright with Ford Motor Company.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Fleming McClain; one daughter and son-in-law, Shonna and Richard Corn of Cedartown; one son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Lisa McClain of Buchanan; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Tommie Ann and Claude Day of Niceville, FL and Clestelle Lyle of Lindale; seven grandchildren, Aimee and husband Mitch Hanson, Jannah and husband Tyler Layton; Hannah Corn, Amanda-Ka and husband Daniel Wright, Caitlin Corn, Kasilynn McClain and Karabeth McClain; three great grandchildren, Emma Hanson, Carson Layton and Addison Layton; honorary son, Chris Garner and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Tony Day and Rev. Phil Smitherman officiating.  Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery in Tallapoosa with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Tyler Layton, Mitch Hanson, Daniel Wright, Jason Porter, Daniel Fleming, Marty McClain, Richard Corn and Chris Garner.

Military honors will be provided by the Haralson County Veterans Association.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.

Ronald's request was that in lieu of flowers, please purchase a pair of shoes for a needy child.
