Mr. Roger Joe Golden, age 62 of Buchanan, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, in an Atlanta hospital after a brief illness.  Born in Villa Rica, GA, on March 16, 1960, he was the son of the late Harland Golden and the late Evelyn Leatherwood Golden.  Roger recently retired after more than 20 years from the Cobb County Maintenance Department as a heavy equipment operator.  He was looking forward to fishing again with his brothers.  Roger enjoyed riding the country roads and keeping up with his family through texting.

Roger is survived by his four children: Joseph (Sarah) Golden, Centre, AL; Kevin ((Amber) Golden, Gadsden, AL; Will Golden and Robby Golden, both of Temple; and five grandchildren: Tyler Golden, Matthew Golden, Isaac Golden, Ian Golden, Destiney Golden.  He is also survived by his five brothers: Gerald (Marlene) Golden, Temple; Wayne (Regina) Golden, Bremen; Richard Golden, Buchanan; Randall (Kimberly Styles) Golden, Buchanan; and Steve (Kelly) Golden, Temple.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated. Plans for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
