Mr. Robert Paul Owen, age 70, of Rockmart passed away Monday, November 16, 2015.  Mr. Owen was born in East Saint Louis, Illinois on May 18, 1945.  He was the son of the late William Harrison Owen and the late Marjorie Pendleton Owen.  Mr. Owen was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a retired truck parts salesman.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Keplar Owen of Rockmart; two daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Russell Jett of Rockmart and Kelly and Michael Craven of Lineville, AL; one son, Robert Paul Owen, II, of Rockmart; six grandchildren, Dustin Jett, Shelby Jett, Stephanie Tyson, Kandice Craven, Austin Owen and Kaygan Owen; three great grandchildren, Colton Jett, Aspyn Jett and Michael Tyson; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Monday, November 23, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Wesley Brooks and Danny Hutcheson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
