Mr. Robert Edmond Carter, age 64, of Tallapoosa passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016.  Mr. Carter was born in Oaktown Indiana on April 6, 1951.  He was the son of the late George Washington Chester Carter and the late Thelma Mary Archer Carter.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Carter.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Kay Campbell Carter of Tallapoosa; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert E. Carter, Jr. of California, Johnny B. and Ann Carter of Tallapoosa and David and Amber Carter of Valley, AL; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Chester and Jan Carter of Edwardsport, IN, Donald and Ginny Carter, Billy and Pam Carter and Harold Carter all of Bicknell, IN; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M.
