Obituary

Evangelist Ridley Crit Rayburn, born on December 31, 1943, to Dessie and Buford Rayburn, entered his greatest transition on January 11, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Evangelist Rayburn graduated Bowdon High School. He shared the gospel in many churches, events, meetings and homes and was a lifelong minister at Good-news Outreach Ministries and a devoted minister at the 11th hour Food Bank. His love for God spilled over into his ministry, reaching thousands. Evangelist Rayburn had a dream to be the hands and feet of Jesus -that he most certainly was.

On January 31, 1969, Evangelist Ridley Rayburn married his soulmate Doris Annette Weir Rayburn. They had several children and bonus children: daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Scott Hunt of Alabama, Kelly Williams of Douglasville and Brandy and Michael Niehas of McRae, Georgia; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Sanders of Douglasville, Buford Ray Rayburn of Douglasville, Joseph and Maryann Rayburn of Villa Rica, and Don Rayburn of Carrollton.  Also surviving are two nephews he loved like his own sons who helped care for him until his eternal rest,  Robert And Jeff Phillips. He was also blessed with several grandchildren: Leslie Peek, Missy and Jessey Tiek, Justin and Kamron Sanders, Whitney Baxter, Brandon and Brittney Williams, Justin and Lexia Williams, Katelynn Rayburn, Avery, Austin, Chantel, Bobbie-Ann, Caiden, and Lettie Rayburn. Brookelynn and Austin Bryant, Cameron and Emily Rayburn, Jaysie Walker, Emily Walker, Carson Niehas, and Sawyer Niehas. Evangelist Ridley rejoiced over his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was blessed with a life running over with love and memories.

Evangelist Ridley dearly loved his siblings and is survived by his brothers, Ricky Rayburn, Donnie Rayburn and Steve Rayburn, all of Carrollton.

Evangelist Rayburn was preceded in death by his wife Doris Rayburn; son Richard Sanders; grandson Keith Smith; sisters Barbara Butler, Joyce Young, Jean Whaley, Shirley Roberts, and Linda Entrekin; brothers, Randall Rayburn, Sammy Rayburn, and several nieces and nephews
