Mr. Rickie Thomas Johnson, age 62, of Buchanan passed away Friday, January 12, 2018.  Mr. Johnson was born in Buchanan, Georgia, on September 6, 1955.  He was a graduate of the Haralson County High School Class of 1974 and was a graduate of the University of West Georgia. Mr. Johnson retired as a teacher with Haralson County Middle School.  He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas B. Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Carole Lynn Johnson of Buchanan; mother, Mattie Belle Johnson of Buchanan; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Annette and Mark Pike of Buchanan, Minnie and Bill Cloud of Tallahassee, FL, Louise Brown of Tallapoosa, and Laura Stogner of Waco; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dr. Aaron Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow in New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon from 12:0 Noon until 2:00 P.M.
