Mr. Richard Douglas Chapman, age 44, of Buchanan passed away Thursday, January 11, 2007. Mr. Chapman was born in Fulton County on June 17, 1962. He was the son of Owen Eugene and Cornelia Strickland Chapman of Green Cove Springs, Florida. Survivors besides his parents include one sister and brother-in-law, Tracey and Joe Griffith of Buchanan; and one nephew, Bain Griffith of Buchanan; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Buchanan United Methodist Church with Rev. Carol Scroggs officiating. Music will be rendered by Kersha Cartwright, Beleta Anderson and the Praise Team of Buchanan United Methodist Church. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 P.M. at the Meriwether Memorial Gardens in Manchester, Georgia. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
