Richard Cash

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the funeral services for Richard Thomas Cash, age 50 of Buchanan.  Though words can scarcely capture the full measure of his life, those who knew him will remember Richard most for the warmth of his presence and the depth of his caring.

A 1995 graduate of Haralson County High School, Richard worked for more than 30 years at Lee Fabricators.  He will be fondly remembered for his community spirit and kindness as he coached youth baseball and football for many years.  Richard enjoyed keeping fit by working out and spent hours detailing his vehicles.  His passion was spending time with his sons and grandson.  Whether facing ordinary days or life’s inevitable challenges, Richard’s unwavering support for those around him became a quiet but powerful source of comfort. Richard’s absence leaves a gentle ache, but his spirit lives on in the stories, lessons, and affection he imparted.

Left to cherish his memories are his beloved children, Triston & Emma Cash and Champ Cash; his precious grandson, Brock Cash; and  his parents, Larry and Linda Cash.  Also surviving are his sisters, Karon & Allen King and Donna & Mike Denton; his brother, Keith Bates; and his former wife and mother of his children, Jodi Cash; as well as a number of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Richard Cash will be conducted on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Tallapoosa East Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Brannon officiating and eulogies given by Triston Cash, Champ Cash, and Coach Scott Peavey.  He will be laid to rest in the Tallapoosa East Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Triston Cash, Champ Cash, Scott Peavey, Joe Cash, Brad Davis, Michael Lewis, Keith Bates, and Tony Dewberry.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday, July 6th, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
