Mr. Rex Alton Barber age 79 passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Mr. Barber passed away surrounded by his family at his home in Temple. He was born on Monday, December 3, 1934 in Cement, Oklahoma. Mr. Barber is preceded in death by his parents John Mariam Barber and Vera May Brown Barber.

Mr. Barber is survived by his wife Mabel Ann Barber, his children, siblings and a number of other relatives. Mr. Barber served his country in the United States Navy until his retirement. In accordance with his wishes Mr. Barber was cremated. A Scattering at Sea Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Rex Barber''s name to the American Cancer Society Wynn-Dixie Hope Lodge on 1552 Shoup Court, Decatur, GA. 30033.
