Reverend Daniel Grover Watts, age 57, of Fruithurst passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. He was born Bowdon on Monday, October 31, 1960. Reverend Watts is preceded in death by his father Bill Benton and four grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Ann (Presswood) Watts of Fruithurst; three sons and their spouses, Victor and Linda Watts of Bowdon, Eric and Dannielle Watts of Fruithurst and Benny and Flossy Coker of Whitesburg; four daughters and their spouses, Amanda and Jerry Smith of Ranburne, Cynthia Dover of Buchanan, Kathy and Johnny Denny of Bremen and Christy Resendiz and her fiancé Donnie Cheeks of Woodland, Alabama; his mother, one brother, three sisters; twenty one grandchildren: Jacob, Caley, Nathan, Skylar, Lil Eric, Charity, Steven, Allyson, Tori, Mason, Deona and her husband Avery, Mookey, Hope, Caitlyn Cody, Charlotte, Jonathan, Jeremy, Matt, Autumn, and D.J.; twelve great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Reverend Watts will be cremated.

The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 2 P.M. from Salem Baptist Church in Tallapoosa with Brother Joseph Britt officiating.
