Obituary

Rev. William Thomas Price, age 89, of Bremen passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012. Rev. Price was born in Haralson County on February 9, 1923. He was the son of the late Lem Price and the late Lela Barkwell Price. Rev. Price was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the infantry in World War II where he was wounded in battle in Okinawa in 1945. He was awarded a Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, Pacific Combat Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal and a Victory Ribbon. Rev. Price served as the pastor to Churches including the Buchanan Church of God and as an Associate Pastor of District Line United Methodist Church, as well as evangelizing over the West Georgia area. He also owned and operated a barber shop in downtown Bremen for many years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Price and Ricky Price; and a number of sisters, brothers and other relatives.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Brown Price of Bremen; one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Wood of Bremen; one sister, Dorothy Cash of Smyrna; two grandchildren, Kevin Wood and Rick Price; one great grandchild, Raylex Price; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson and Susan Price Elder officiating. Music will be rendered by Harold McWhorter. Military honors will be provided by the Haralson County Veteran''s Association. Interment will follow in District Line United Methodist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jared Muse, Craig Goldin, Michael Thompson, Barry Nelson, Stephen Price and Kenneth Cash.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
