Rev. Marlin "Tangle" Golden Rush, age 74, of Rockmart passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017. Mr. Rush was born in Draketown, Georgia, on April 10, 1943.  He was the son of the late John W. Rush and the late Eva Mae Golden Rush.  Mr. Rush was an electrician.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sara Ann Rush; five brothers, J.E. Rush, Harold Rush, Billy Joe Rush, Donald Rush and Bobby Rush.

Survivors include his wife, Margo May Rush of Rockmart; four daughters, Rebecca Delacruz of Tallapoosa, Sandra Rush and her companion Chasity Young of Carrollton, Cynthia Inez Rush of Carrollton and Jaimie and her husband Christopher Brannon of Rockmart; one sister, Betty Jane Rush of Bremen; one brother, Rev. Wendell Rush and his wife Ruth of Draketown; five grandchildren, Jessie Bagley, Jennifer Adams, Justin Adams, Dominic Bimer and Dylan Delacruz; six great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from Mount Zion East Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Cash officiating.  Music will be rendered by Vickie Teal.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Cheyenne Caldwell, Joe Hulsey, Christopher Brannon, Terry Heuer, Norman Sadler and Chris Bacon.

Rev. Rush will lie in state at the Church on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
