Rev. Harland Golden, age 86, of Buchanan passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015.  Rev. Golden was born in Haralson County, Georgia on December 11, 1928.  He was the son of the late Joseph Golden and the late Birdie Lee Ploof Golden.  Rev. Golden was a self-employed carpenter and an ordained minister.  He had served as the pastor of a number of local Churches.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Michael Golden; one sister, Florence Jordan; three brothers, Burnell Golden, Guy Golden and James Golden.

Survivors include his wife of sixty seven years, Evelyn Leatherwood Golden; six sons and three daughters-in-law, Gerald and Marlene Golden, Wayne and Regina "Dink" Golden, Richard Golden, Randall Golden Roger Golden and Steve and Kelly Golden; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Emory Perine; twelve grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 2:00 P.M from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Smith and Rev. Johnny Holcombe officiating.  Music will be rendered by Ronnie and Judy Robinson.  Interment will follow in Piney Woods Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Keith Golden, Brian Golden, Brad Golden, Joseph Golden, Randy Golden and Scott Golden.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
