Rebecca June Evans Strickland Cohran, age 89 of Temple, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 23, 2025.  Born on December 12, 1935, in Trion, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Frank Richard Evans and the late Nellie Rose Brewster Evans.  In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Franklin Strickland who passed away in 1957; her second husband, Thomas Watson Cohran who passed away in 2015; her grandson, Ben Payne; her sisters, Ruby Shaw, Louise Hembree, and Brenda Ward; and her brothers, J.R. Evans, Paul Evans, David Evans, Marion Evans, and Frank Richard Evans, Jr.  Rebecca was a faithful member of the Douglasville Church of God of Prophecy.

Left to cherish her memories are her children and their spouses: Linda Jackson and husband Neal of Monroe; JoAnn Samuelson and husband Marshall of Monroe, Marvin Franklin Strickland, Jr and wife Susan of Villa Rica; Debbie Cohran Foster and husband Ricky of Temple; and Cindy Cohran Herrin and husband John of Alpharetta; her sister, Vernell Freeman Plishe of Winston; and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Evans.  Also surviving are twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and extended family.

The family will host a Celebration of Life for Rebecca Cohran at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the Douglasville Church of God of Prophecy, 8310 Durlee Road, Douglasville.
