Ms. Rebecca Frances McLendon Brown, age 67, of Austin Ave., Carrollton passed away Sunday, February 11, 2007 from an extended illness at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. Ms. Brown was born in Carroll County on February 9, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Mr. H.N. McLendon. Ms. Brown was a seamstress an owned and operated Rebecca''s Alterations in Carrollton for more than 20 years.

Survivors include mother, Mrs. Maggie Smith McLendon of Carrollton; two sons, Michael Brown of Carrollton; and David Brown of Shreveport LA; one sister Jane Hopkins of Marietta; one brother, Henry McLendon of Carrollton; two grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. from Oak Grove Baptist Church in Carrollton. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
