Mr. Raymond Jackson "RJ" Prewitt, age 88 of Buchanan, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020.   He was born in Williamsburg, KY, on January 11, 1932, to the late Hobert M. Prewitt and Nora E. Davis Prewitt.   Mr. Prewitt was a truck driver for many years enjoying the miles he traveled.

In addition to his parents, Raymond is also preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Prewitt; one son, Roy J. Prewitt; and one brother, Roy D. Prewitt.

Mr. Prewitt is survived by three sons, Ronald L. Prewitt of Leicester, NC; William Glenn Prewitt, Webster, NC; and Bobby O. Prewitt, Michigan; two daughters, Lena Richie, Sylva, NC; Linda Blanton, Houston, TX; one step-daughter, Connie Hull of Buchanan; and eight grandchildren.

In keeping with Mr. Prewitt's wishes, he will be cremated.
