Mr. Ray Lee Abercrombie, age 62, of Tallapoosa passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017.  Mr. Abercrombie was born in Bremen, Georgia, on July 8, 1954.  He was the son the late Clifford Abercrombie and the late Irene Brooks Abercrombie.  Mr. Abercrombie was a truck driver. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Mattalyn Abercrombie; and future son-in-law, Josh Wade.

The family would also like to express a special thanks to the caregivers who helped out so much.  They are Jessie Jones, Daniel Hancock, Wayne Farris and Roxanne Farris.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Collins Abercrombie of Tallapoosa; two daughters, Roxanne Farris and Julie Abercrombie both of Tallapoosa; one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Ashley Abercrombie of Fruithurst, AL; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Faye and Mack Patterson of Tallapoosa, and Judy Reeves of Muscadine, AL; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Charlene Abercrombie of Tallapoosa, Roy and Sylvia Abercrombie of Muscadine, AL, and Bobby and Renee Abercrombie of Tallapoosa; nine grandchildren, Wayne Farris, Trinity Farris, Kimberly Moon, Desirae Moon, Austin Abercrombie, Samual Abercrombie, Jaxson Abercrombie, Jacob Abercrombie and Collin Abercrombie; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Homer Wysner and Rev. Charles Leonard Williams officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
