Mr. Ralph Eugene Whitfield, age 74, of Dallas passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014.  Mr. Whitfield was born in Alabama on October 1, 1939.  He was the son of the late Oakley Ralph Whitfield and the late Vera Allen Whitfield.  Mr. Whitfield was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired auto body shop owner.

Survivors include his wife, Jerilyn Sparks Whitfield of Dallas; one daughter, Lisa Marie Mattingly of Atlanta; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

No services are planned.
