Mrs. Rachel Virginia Sanders Poss, age 82, of Buchanan passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018.  Mrs. Poss was born in Buchanan on April 5, 1936.  She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Dyer; parents, Roscoe Lamar Sanders and Gladys Aliene Sanders and one infant sister Thelema Aliene Sanders.

Survivors include her husband Van Dean "Jack" Poss of Buchanan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Ellis and JoAnn Dyer of Loganville and Terry Glen and Beth Dyer of Loganville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia Sanders Sailors and Earl of Buchanan and Mary Sue Ezell of Buchanan; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Lamar and Jean Sanders of Tallapoosa; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Baptist Tabernacle church with Janice Daniel, Reverend Jimmy Sanders, Reverend Joey Meeks and Reverend Buddy Gentry officiating. Music will be rendered by Patricia Sailors, Johnny Daniel, Janice Daniel, Bobby Robinson and Aspen Ruff. Interment will follow in Buchanan City Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Earl Sailors, Scott Robinson, Bobby Robinson, John Daniel, Leroy Grizzard and Tommy Williams.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, July 9, 2018 from 5:00 PM- 9:00 PM.
