Mr. Preston Wayne Hobbs, age 62, of Buchanan passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007. Mr. Hobbs was born in Haralson County on January 21, 1945. He was the son of the late Benjamin Caldwell Hobbs and the late Vera Eaves Hobbs. Mr. Hobbs was a retired truck driver with the Georgia Dept. of Transportation. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Elsberry, Christine Argo and Audie Grizzle. Survivors include his wife, Emma Jane Ray Hobbs of Cartersville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Stephanie Hobbs of Cartersville and Jody and Darlis Hobbs of Carrollton; one sister, Clara Dutton of Rome; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Benjamin F. "Jake" Hobbs of Buchanan and Chalmas and Julia Hobbs of Cedartown; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. from the Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Locklear and Rev. Eddie Davidson officiating. Music will be rendered by the Fellowship Baptist Church Choir. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Marty Grizzle, Sammy Hobbs, Ben Hobbs, Randell Elsberry, Charles Argo and Shawn Evans. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
