Mr. Pleasant Richard Tally, age 88, of 524 Gordon St., Bremen passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010. Mr. Tally was born in Union Point, Georgia on October 30, 1921. He was the son of the late Oscar Bruce Tally, Sr. and the late Ella Mae Carter Tally. Mr. Tally was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a retired electrician with the United States Government. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Elaine Tally and Dorothy Lowery; and six brothers, John Dawson Tally, Osreal Bruce Tally, Benjamin Windfield Tally, Hoover Curtis Tally and Daniel Huey Tally. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Peggy Marie McCulloch of Madisonville, TN, Pat (Wesley) Truitt of Bremen and Cathy (Jim) Mueller of Pensacola, FL; one sister, Ella Mae Berry of Forest Park; one brother, Oscar Bruce Tally, Jr. of Newnan; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 4, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 P.M. at New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Atlanta with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Wesley Truitt, Jim Mueller, Ben Truitt, Andy Truitt, Blake Rigdon and Larry Johnson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
