Phyllis Ann Nelson Feirn, age 85 of Tallapoosa, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023, in a local hospital.  Born in Clinton, Wisconsin, on November 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Nelson and the late Frances Lillian Pace Nelson.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Nelson.

Phyllis was the consummate homemaker.  She enjoyed cooking for her family get-togethers and loved taking care of her grandchildren.  Traveling with her husband, Conrad, was another favorite pastime, as well as socializing with her friends.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 63 years, Conrad Feirn of Tallapoosa; her daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Bruce Ashmore of Waco, and Lynette and Jimmy Cook of Bremen; her sons and daughters-in-law, Bradley and Stephanie Feirn of Bremen and Scott and Heather Feirn of Bremen;  and her sister, Sandra Nelson of Madison, Wisconsin.  Also surviving are her precious grandchildren: Allison (Greg) Weaver, Lindsey (Zeke) Ricks, Erica (Austin) Tucker, Emily Feirn, Sara Feirn, Savannah Feirn, and Tyler Feirn; and those sweet great-grandchildren, Cameron Tucker, Lucas Tucker, and Kye Ricks.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Feirn will be cremated.
