Reverend Phil Eaves, age 87, of Bremen passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010. Reverend Eaves was born in Haralson County on July 8, 1922. He was the son of the late Jack Eaves and the late Beatrice Philpot Eaves. Reverend Eaves was retired from Trinity Baptist Church in Waco where he preached for many years. He was also a church member at Cochran Ridge Baptist Church in Hiram. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Eaves; one sister, Aileen Smith; one brother, B.F. Eaves. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Keith Carter of Bremen; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerald and Catherine Eaves of Silver creek, Ricky and Janice Eaves of Bremen; one sister, Sara Jo Rogers of Bremen; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ricky Eaves and Rev. Jerald Eaves officiating. Interment will follow in Piney Woods Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Caleb Eaves, Kyle Carter, Tyler Carter, Brian Eaves, Grant Barrow and Toby Capes.
