Mr. Perry Wayne Martin, age 61, of Piedmont, Alabama passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Mr. Martin was born in Haralson County on February 26, 1949. He was the son of the late Marion Martin and the late Elise Mae Carden Martin. Mr. Martin was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving in Vietnam and was a construction worker. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Simpson. Survivors include his wife, Anita Jane Bennett Martin of Piedmont, AL; one daughter and son-in-law, Hope and Phil Young of Temple; two step-daughters, Ashley McCormick of Hiram and Jessica Haskell of Hiram; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Jada Parker of Waco and Terry and Michelle Parker of Bremen; one sister and brother-in-law, Shelby and Donnie Payne of Bremen; two grandchildren, Kristen Williams and Casey Williams; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, November 12, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. The body was cremated. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
