A lady of love and whimsical grace, Mrs. Peggy Marie Pilgrim, age 78, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away on Thursday, February, 23, 2017. Peggy, the daughter of the late Robert Clark Edmonson and Margaret Shelton Edmonson, was born on July 29, 1938. She has gone on to join her late husband, Raymond Pilgrim, youngest son, John Ashley Pilgrim, and granddaughter, Rachel Pilgrim.

Everyone who visited the Pilgrim home over the years was welcomed by Peggy's warmth, charm, and hospitality. She was a true artisan of a home filled with delicious food, laughing children, and beautiful furnishings. If you had the pleasure of spending time with Peggy, you knew that you were truly loved and cared for.

She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law Pamela and Gene Hahn; her three sons and daughers-in-law, Doby and Chong Pilgrim, David and Ann Dale Pilgrim, and Gerald and Andri Pilgrim; her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Donna Edmonson. Her grandchildren include Sarah and Steve Denham, Ray Pilgrim, Amanda and James Garner, Sean and Nina Pilgrim, Bobby Pilgrim, Andrew Pilgrim, Dylan Pilgrim, Maggie Hahn, John Martin Pilgrim, Audrey Rae Pilgrim, Anna Claire Pilgrim, and great grandchild Athena Pilgrim. She also leaves behind special cousins Kay Frances and Dub Walker as well as countless other friends and loved ones.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 3:30 at Tallapoosa First United Methodist Church. Reverend Sonny Moon will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Richie Walker, Neal Adams, Caleb Adams, Sammy Robinson and Tommy Allen.
