Mr. Paul Randall Ramsey, age 65, of Bremen passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Mr. Ramsey was born in Haleyville, Alabama on January 6, 1949. He was the son of the late Johnnie Basil Ramsey and the late Velma Wakefield Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey retired in 2011 after serving as the Band Director for the Haralson County High School for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Cheri Lyn Ramsey of Bremen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Gerard Mack and Melanie and Ivan Flores all of Marietta; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Tracie and Jose Ramirez of Dallas, GA; one step –son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Carroll and Teresa Smith of Cedartown; one brother and sister-in-law, Howell Wayne and Kumi Ramsey of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fine Arts Building on the campus of Haralson County High School with Mr. Hullon Hensley and Mr. Troy Thompson along with a number of friends officiating. Congregational hymns will be led by Mrs. Martie Abney. Music will be performed by current and past members of the Haralson County High School Marching Band. Interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery in Dallas, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening and Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
