Paul Allen Posey, age 69 of Buchanan, passed away at his residence.  Born in Atlanta on September 11, 1955, he was the son of the late Roger Linton Posey and the late Margie Christine Shepard Posey.  In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy Posey and Margie Posey Carroll, and his brothers, Linton Posey and Gerald Posey.

A high school graduate in East Point, Paul had been a resident of Buchanan for several years.  He worked for Carbonic Industries for many years.  There he helped build commercial ice machines and traveled with the company selling and installing the machines.  Paul enjoyed working with his hands and was very talented in working with stainless steel.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and just being in nature.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Cathy Posey and Jonathan Cox of McRae, Georgia; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rocky Barker and Patty Hutcheson officiating.  The family will host a gathering time from 1:00 PM until the service time.
