Mr. Paul Curtis Thompson, III, age 62, of Carrollton passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Mr. Thompson was born in Mobile, Alabama on January 4, 1949. He was the son of Paul Curtis Thompson, Jr. and Olivette Everett Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a cabinetmaker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Althea Amick Thompson. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Althea and Robert Kelly of Carrollton; one son, Paul C. Thompson, IV of Gadsden, AL; parents, Paul Curtis and Olivette Thompson of Mobile, AL; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Grace Talbert of Mobile, AL and Maria and Hollis Sanders of Mobile, AL; one grandchild, Alyssa Kelly; and a number of other relatives. A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date in Mobile, Alabama. The body will be cremated. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
