Mrs. Patsy Carol Strickland Miller, age 58, of 2480 Crossroads Church Rd., Buchanan passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2008. Mrs. Miller was born in Paulding County on August 23, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Ben Strickland and the late Bernice Cook Strickland. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Louise Strickland, Lucile Strickland and Jeanette Baker; and one brother, Ben Edward Strickland. Survivors include her husband, William Carey Miller, Sr. of Buchanan; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Wayne Howard of Bremen; three sons and daughters-in-law, William, Jr. and Linda Miller of Buchanan, Calvin and Christy Miller of Buchanan and Benjamin and Jennifer Miller of Tallapoosa; one sister, Juanita Hollis of Tallapoosa; one brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Gladys Strickland of Dallas; Six grandchildren,four step-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 5, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Buchanan with Elder Max Kimball and Elder Steve Kimball officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Brannon-Perryman Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Troy Stapler, Gale Bowers, Ed Shealy, Michael Hollis, C.W. Ploof and David Strickland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
