Patricia Alene Smith, age 68 of Waco, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. She was born on December 15, 1956, to the late Thomas Watson Swanson and the late Sylvia Ezzell Ray. In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Swanson.

Patricia had a big heart and was a friend to all.  Her greatest enjoyment came in helping others.  She also enjoyed online shopping and working word puzzles. Taking care of her precious companion, her dog Brownie, was part of Pat's daily routine. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Derek Michael Smith of Waco; sisters, Debbie Cook of Waco and Sandra Cole (Tracy) of Waco and brother, Thomas Michael Swanson (Kimberly0 of Waco.

In keeping with Patricia's wishes she was cremated.

Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
