Patricia Ellison, 75, of Bremen passed away peacefully on June 16 after a lifelong battle with Type 1 Diabetes. She was born in Atlanta on October 27, 1950, the second of 4 daughters to Rufus Meadows and Sally Wilson. She was a loving Mother, Daughter, and Grandma who spent her later years devoted to her family, her hobbies, and her home. She began her career as a typist for John Harland Company and afterwards became a secretary at Sewell Plastics in Atlanta. Later she moved onto her true passion as a hairdresser in Mableton and Powder Springs which she continued over 30 years. She thrived as an entrepreneur and made lifelong relationships with her clients at The Hair Castle and A New Attitude salon. She will forever be remembered for her determination and unwavering goodwill in everything she did.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ernest Paul “Doc” Ellison, her sister, Jackie Meadows; and her step-daughter Kathy Holland.
She is survived by her children: Phillip (Jeff) Dyer of Gainesville, Pamela (Christopher) Rohling of Williamsburg, Paul (Erin) Ellison of Bremen; step-daughter Karron (Bubba) of Douglasville; her sisters Dianne (Mike) Styles of Braselton, and Kathy Fox of Gainesville; grandchildren: Nathaniel, Jonathan, Elijah, Juliana, Ira, Ellie Mae, Isaac, Oak, Derrick (Brittney), and one great-grandchild; Raegan; son-in-law Chris Holland; nieces and nephews and family.
In keeping with Mrs. Ellison’s wishes, she will be cremated.

Cremation services are being provided by Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
