Pat Wysner Benefield, age 84 of Heflin, AL, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. She was born on March 14, 1936, in Heflin to the late George Washington Wysner and the late Ezzell Staples Wysner. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Benefield; son, Ronnie Benefield; daughter, Jeanette Grizzard; grandson, Rodney Grizzard and two sisters, Chrysteen Gibbs and Sue Payne.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Maria Benefield of Heflin; one brother and sister-in-law, Homer and Barbara Wysner of Tallapoosa; one sister, Linda Bryant of Bowdon; thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at New Hopewell Baptist Church at 2 PM Alabama time (3 PM GA) with Reverend Alton Stamey and J.W. Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Reverend Jeff Stone officiating and the grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at New Hopewell Baptist Church from 12 Noon (1 PM GA) until the service hour.
