Mrs. Pansy Gail Carroll Shead, age 70 of Draketown, passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2021, surrounded by her family.  She was born August 5, 1950, in Douglasville, GA, to the late Evelyn Cole Carroll and Roy Carroll.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Brad Shead and a brother Wayne Carroll.  Pansy loved her family and friends and always wanted to make sure they were taken care of even while she herself was sick.  Pansy was also a great cook and a member of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Kenneth Shead of Draketown; a son, Brian (Tara) Shead of Draketown; a step-daughter, Sharon (Scott) Wages of Paulding County;  a sister, Linda Rakestraw of Powder Springs; and four grandchildren.

A celebration of life service for Mrs. Pansy Shead will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at 6:00 P.M. at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the service hour.
