Pamela Hessie Payton, age 67 of Muscadine, Alabama, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025, in a local hospital.  Born in Bremen on June 4, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Waylon Payton and the late Henrietta Payton.  In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Payton.

Pam spent many years caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, working at several nursing homes with her most recent employment at Georgia Living Center in Tallapoosa. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and spending time each day reading her Bible.  Listening to country gold music was also a favorite pastime, and she was an avid Conway Twitty fan.  Affectionately known as "Pamwitch," she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Her survivors include her son, Kevin Griggs; her daughters, Leann (Chad) Morgan and Amber Donovan; her best friend, Wanda McMichael; and her long-time friend, Allen Bell.  Also surviving are her grandchildren: Kaycee Traywick, Kade Addison, Lane Morgan, Daily Donovan; great grandson, Myles Traywick and a number of bonus grands; her sisters, Connie Hull and Lynn Payton; and her brothers, Anthony Payton and Terry Payton.

In keeping with her wishes, Pam will be cremated.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to help with Pam's final expenses.  You may donate online at our Payment Center tab on the homepage or by calling the funeral home.
