Mr. Oscar Lee Witcher, age 91, of Tallapoosa passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015.  Mr. Witcher was born in Haralson County, Georgia on April 6, 1924.  He was the son of the late Alexander Witcher and the late Annie Jeanette Parker Witcher.  Mr. Witcher was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II in Rhineland; Central Europe.  He and his late wife, Beatrice, owned and operated Oscar's Donut Shop and Bakery in Leesburg, Florida for thirty seven years.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lera Beatrice Williams Witcher; grandchild, Tina Hendricks; great grandchildren, Marissa Daniels and Harlee Daniels; sister, Juanita Hammond; brothers, Earl Witcher and Dan Witcher.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Lanette and Joe Daniels of Tallapoosa and Bonita and Harvey Beasley of Wildwood, FL; one son and Doyle and Won-Shil Witcher of Calhoun; two sisters, Beatrice Posey of Rockmart and Eloise McCarley of White; one brother and sister-in-law Frank and Sue Witcher of Bremen; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bobby and Jerri Williams of Bremen; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. from Providence Baptist Church in Tallapoosa with Dr. Mason Bush and Rev. Frankie McCarley officiating.  Music will be rendered by Rev. Frankie McCarley.  Interment will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Lee Daniels, Jared Shealey, Eli Shealey, Brian Beasley, Cody Barnett, Jeb Dotson, Kevin Beasley and Michel Daniels.  Military graveside honors will be provided by the Haralson County Veterans Association.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
