Omie Lee Smith Parker, age 83 of Carrollton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 1, 2025.  Born in Gainesville, Georgia, on June 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Monroe Smith and the late Ruth Lee Bell Millord Smith.  In addition to her parents, Omie is preceded in death by a son, Timmy Tanner, and her brother, Monroe Smith, Jr.

A hard working woman, Omie spent many years weaving yarn at Maryann Industries in Villa Rica.  She enjoyed sewing and taking care of children.  There was always a grandchild or great-grandchild at Omie's house.

Her survivors include her children and their spouses, Tina & Richie Gee of Gainesville, Tracy Camp of Columbiana, Alabama, Julie & Jeff Addison of Tallapoosa, Anthony Tanner and Johnny Tanner, both of Gainesville, Hayden Tanner and Devin Tanner, both of Carrollton; her precious grandchildren: Richie, Tasha, Jessie, Melissa, Katie, Leslie, C.J., Eric, Derrick, Chelsea, Drew, Angel, and Tyler; and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters and brothers-in-law: Bonnell & John Gowan and Iris & Melvin Young, all of Gainesville; her daughter-in-law, Sheila Tanner of Temple; and other extended family members.

Funeral services for Omie Parker will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jeffery Addison officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
