Mr. Ollie Wesley Jarrell, age 80, of 3365 Cave Spring Hwy., Rome passed away Friday, November 9, 2007. Mr. Jarrell was born in Polk County on January 19, 1927. He was the son of the late Jake Jarrell and the late Mary Elizabeth Strickland Jarrell. Mr. Jarrell was a retired automobile mechanic. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Moon Jarrell; second wife, Dorothy Thompson Jarrell; two sons, Bobby Joe Jarrell and John Wayne Jarrell; one sister, Lois Earwood; and two brothers, Eugene Jarrell and Talmadge Jarrell. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Slovick of Jasper, Virginia Hernandez of Buchanan, Cathy Harvell of Cedartown and Peggy Wisehuff of Traveler''s Rest, SC; six sons, William Moon of Blue Ridge, SC, Eugene Jarrell of Ridgeland, SC, Doyle Jarrell of Cedartown, Edward Jarrell of Rome, James Jarrell of Cedartown and Kenneth Jarrell of Rome; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 12, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. R.B. Hulsey officiating. Music will be rendered by Martha Jarrell. Interment will follow in the Lime Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
