Mr. Oliver Gene Madden, age 46, of Temple passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Mr. Madden was born in Rome, Georgia on May 9, 1966. He was the son of the late Jimmy Barner Madden and the late Betty Sue Goldin Madden. Mr. Madden worked as an automotive technician with Wal-Mart.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Paul Madden of Temple; one daughter, Kayla Madden of Temple; three sons and daughters-in-law, Codi and Britiany Thompson of Rockmart, Kenny and Lael Mercer of Carrollton and James and Sandra Mercer of Carrollton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Benny Waldrop of Bremen and Charlotte and Gary Wright of Bremen; two half sisters, Cindy Moore of Waco and Trixie Santiago of New York; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Dwayne and Linda Madden of Waco and Mike Spillers of Temple; seven grandchildren, Ryder King, Kayven Thompson, Christian Thompson, Kian McCollum, Conor Mercer, Kenslyn Madden and Logan Mercer; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday, July 6, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from Waco United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Aronhalt and Rev. Benny Waldrop officiating. Music will be rendered by Sandra Mercer.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
