Norma Nell Kimball Bishop , of Buchanan passed away Monday, March 31, 2014.  Norma was born October 20, 1940 to Hubert Cecil and Clara Hambrick Kimball.

She was married to William Thomas Bishop on September 27, 1958.  She was blessed with two children, Richard Thomas Bishop and Cindy Bishop Worthy; five grandchildren, Lance Maxwell, Chad Bishop, Jessica Worthy, Kristen Bishop Barnes and Amy Worthy; one great grandchild, Temprance Barnes; and one brother, James Hubert "Tony" Kimball.

She was a member of Buchanan First Baptist Church, serving as Church Clerk, VBS Director and teacher, and Sunday School teacher.  She was also a member of the Buchanan Women's Club and Friends of the Library.  She worked at Arrow Company for fourteen years and was a substitute teacher at Haralson County Schools for fourteen years.

Norma was an avid reader.  She loved to travel and visited most of the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, but was always glad to get home to family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from Buchanan First Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Posey and Rev. Allen Wilburn officiating.  Music will be rendered by Steve Worthy with congregational singing led by David Kimball.  Interment will follow in Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Brandon Barnes, Lance Maxwell, David Kimball, Rodney Kimball, Jeff Bishop and Bobby Heath.  Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Chad Bishop.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
