Mrs. Nora Carol Giffies Vines, age 78, of Bremen passed away Monday, February 12, 2018.  Mrs. Vines was born in Hazard, Kentucky, on September 16, 1939.  She was the daughter of the late Jack Giffie and the late Rosa Bolen Griffie.  Mrs. Vines was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Ollie Raymond Vines of Bremen; two daughters, Cindy Vines and Sabrina Athey both of Bremen; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Mary Green of Temple; two sisters, Lula Belle Winters of Powder Springs and Linda Griffie of East Point; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Willie and Shirley Griffie of Temple, and Charles and Charlotte Griffie of Hyden, KY; six grandchildren, Tammy Athey, T.J. Athey, Brandy Youngblood, Michale Youngblood, Kim Green and Stephanie Green; six great grandchildren, Memphis Athey Davis, Jada Nelson, Neal Nelson, Thomas Scott Athey, III, Kaiden Green and Kinzley Green; and a number of other relatives.
