Mr. N.L. Richards, age 86, of Bremen passed away quietly in his sleep in the early morning of Monday, July 29, 2013 and went to meet the Lord. He was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord and always looked to him for guidance. He was born in Tallapoosa, Georgia to the late Johnathon Wesley Richards and the late Catherin Renee Gilbert Richards.

Besides his parents Mr. Richards is preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Richards; Three brothers, Buford Richards, Luther Richards, and G.B. Richards; Three sisters, Brooknell Wells, Irene Riggins, and Lula Jackson; And one granddaughter, Jennifer Richards.

Mr. Richards is survived by three daughters and son-in-laws; Maxine and Keith Thompson of Bremen, Laura and Eddie Stroup of Cedartown, and Gayle and Kenneth Denney of Roopville; One son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Hattie Richards of Piedmont, Alabama; One sister, Ethel Blue of Horton, Alabama; Eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a several nieces and nephews.

Mr. N.L. Richards was a loving person with everyone he came in contact. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and always had smile on his face, a good word to say to everyone, and a good sense of humor. Now that God has called him home, he is spending time with the loved ones gone before him. He will be missed by all his family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11:00 AM from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Reverend Chester Pesnell officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Adam Thompson, Jacob Denney, Bryan Stroup, Jeremy Stroup, Russell Stroup, and Joe Perry.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M.
