Obituary

Nina Jean Mann Chaffin, age 87 of Carrollton, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. She was born on June 4, 1935 in Tallapoosa to the late Will Mann and the late Naomi Phillis Mann. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Royce Chaffin; nephew, Bill Mann; and niece, Melanie Bagby.

Nina Jean was a kind, loving and caring Christian. This was truly shown by how she lived her life. Her sweet nature came through by the way she cared for other and her soft spoken voice. She was a teacher for many years and loved it. Her husband's military career in the Air Force afforded her the opportunity to teach in many locations. Nina was an animal lover, especially when it came to her cats. She had many talents and hobbies and some of those were reading and playing the piano. She and her loving husband enjoyed traveling. But most of all she loved her family.

Survivors include her loving sister, Joyce Mann Key of Tallapoosa; nephews, Trevor (Sandra) Key of Bowdon, Pat Tucker of Carrollton; niece, Glo (Mike) Whitton of Bremen and several other nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Nina wishes she was cremated.

Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
