Neil Victor Craig

Neil Victor Craig, age 78 of Tallapoosa, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.  

A proud veteran, Neil served in the United States Army.  Continuing his service to mankind, he spent more than 20 years in law enforcement.  Neil retired from the Haralson County Sheriff's Department where he worked as a deputy.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, tending to his bees, and metal detecting.  He also spent hours searching for the perfect antique and prospecting for gold.  

Neil's survivors include his beloved wife of 36 years, Dianne Reece Craig of Tallapoosa; his sons Dustin & Ashlea Lanier of Hollywood, AL and Rodney Meadows of Powder Springs; his precious grandson, Grant Lanier; and a special niece, Autumn Jones.

In keeping with Neil's wishes, he will be cremated.
