Obituary

Mr. Napoleon P. Ploof, age 76, of 2784 Coppermine Rd., Temple passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007. Mr. Ploof was born in Haralson County on May 5, 1930. He was the son of the late William Henry Ploof and the late Minnie Ola Weaver Ploof. Mr. Ploof was a retired plumber. He was preceded in death by his father, William Henry "Bill" Ploof, mother, Minnie Ola Weaver Ploof, twin sisters, brother-in-law, Junior Morris and a number of other relatives. Survivors include his wife of over thirty five years, Patsy Jane Goldin Ploof of Temple; two sons, Donald William Ploof of Temple and Randy William Ploof of Temple; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Janell and Amos Akin of Temple, Barbara and Jerry Hagan of Bremen, Betty Morris of Buchanan and Frances Ploof of Buchanan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, C.W. and Jean Ploof of Buchanan and Ralph and Sybil Ploof of Buchanan; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 6, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. from the Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Ploof and Danny Hutcheson officiating.The graveside prayer will be by Brandon Brown. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry, Brandon Brown and Eddie Brown. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Randy Hagan, Richard Hagan, Scott Ploof, Jeremy Goss, Ray Patterson, Brandon Brown, Jerry Wright and John Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be: Kenneth Smith, Jack Robinson, Kirk Robinson, Dr. Robert Hines and the other nephews and nephews-in-law. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
