Nancy Grace Williams

Nancy Grace Williams, age 87 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026.  Born in Rockmart, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Thetus Foster "Bill" Bowman and the late Mildred Lillian Nettles Bowman.  

An excellent seamstress, Nancy worked for many years at area manufacturing companies. She even enjoyed sewing after work and in her retirement years.  Reading and watching television kept her entertained as she got older.  Loving her family and being called "Grandma" put a sparkle in her eye. Nancy will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 68 years, Jerry Williams of Buchanan; her sons, David (Lisa) Williams of Hiram, Richard Williams of Waynesboro, and Jason (Meghan) Williams of Temple; a bonus daughter, Rebecca Garrett of Buchanan; and seven precious grandchildren: Andrew, Chase, Davis, Grayson, Logan, Henry, and J.T.  Also surviving are three sisters Sue Carter of Marietta, Jo (Hank) Ezzell of Marietta, and Jean Waddell of Rockmart; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Nancy's wishes, she will be cremated.

Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
