Mr. M.L. Leathers, age 83, of Bremen passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017.  Mr. Leathers was born in Haralson County, Georgia, on June 30, 1934.  He was the son of the late Gordon Lee Leathers and the late Florence Jane Sanders Leathers.  Mr. Leathers was retired from Lockheed where he worked for 30 years as a welder.  Besides is parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Rachel Leathers; and two brothers, Gurtis Leathers and Billy Leathers.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Vicky and Michael Lewis, and Kimberly King all of Buchanan; one grandchild, Jonathan and his wife Amy Duke of Buchanan; one great grandchild, Hali Duke of Buchanan; niece, Kathy Hulsey; nephew, Mark Leathers; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will conducted Monday, July 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. John Lemmings, Rev. Wendell Rush and Dr. Mason Bush officiating.  Interment will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Billy McAdams, Max Wade, Steve Wade, Ralph Ploof, Jerry Carroll and Greg Redding.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Chalmus McAdams, Hoyle Whitton and Bobby Entrekin.

Mr. Leathers will lie in state at the Church Monday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
