Mildred Morgan, age 96 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. Born on May 6, 1927, in Buchanan, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Dewey Wilson and the late Willie Mae Bennett Wilson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Morgan, her son Philip Morgan and her  sisters, Jewell McMichael, Katherine Harris, and Ruby Harris.

Mrs. Morgan loved writing and had written several fiction short stories.  Outdoors was her favorite place, and she enjoyed walking and searching for Indian artifacts.  Her passion was taking care of her family and she loved her children and grandchildren dearly.  Mrs. Morgan was a member of the Buchanan Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include her son, Derick Morgan of Buchanan; two grandchildren and their spouses, Dustin Morgan and Carrie Anne DiNardo and Miranda and Jake Stutesman;  one great grandchild, Penelope June Morgan, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Mrs. Morgan's wishes she will be cremated.

Cremation services are entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
