Michael Joe Dobbs, age 60 of Tallapoosa, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2025, after a lengthy illness.  Born in Atlanta on January 7, 1965, he was the son of the late Joe Washington Dobbs and the late Minnie Ruth Horsely Dobbs.

A friendly guy, Michael never met a stranger and loved everybody.  Some of his hobbies included watching the Atlanta Braves and working with his guns.  Being an outdoorsman, Michael also enjoyed fishing.  His true passion, though, was spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memories are his sister and brother-in-law, Shelby and Dean Harbison of Muscadine; his brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry Dobbs of Tallapoosa, and Barry and Sherry Dobbs of Texas; his precious nephews and nieces, Brian, Ryan, Dea, Ethan, and Olivia; and one great-niece, Hunter.

In keeping with Michael's wishes he will be cremated.  The family is planning a service at a later date.
