Mr. Melvin Durell Gober, age 67, of Bremen passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012. Mr. Gober was born in Haralson County on August 12, 1944. He was the son of the late Melvin Grady Gober and the late Jewell Hollis Gober. Mr. Gober was a retired engineer with Norfolk Southern Railway.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Goolsby Gober of Bremen; one daughter, Tammy Liner of Buchanan; one son and daughter-in-law, Chip and Connie Gober of Rockmart; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Wayne Causey of Bremen and Amanda Thurman and Jason Ellis of Tallapoosa; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Inell and Charles Woods of Rockmart and Betty Sisk of Mableton; one brother, J.L. Gober of Waco; twelve grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chester Pesnell and Rev. Ronnie Gober officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
